Story

Origin

Our brains are designed to process experiences, not store memories. And unfortunately it’s easier to remember negative experiences than positive ones.

I used to keep a note on my phone called Perfect Moments. Whenever things seemed particularly good, I would write down what was happening, who I was with, and how I felt. I noticed that when I looked back at the note later, I would be reminded of memories in my life that I had forgotten. I was able to re experience the emotions of those moments. I felt more positive and optimistic.

Moments was born from a desire to make that process easier and available to more people. I built Moments to help people focus on the moments that add meaning and happiness to their lives.

Future

I believe there is incredible potential for this tool to help people feel gratitude for the past and optimistic about the future. The critical piece is helping people craft a positive self story.

I have a lot of ideas for where this could go. There are many new features I plan on adding in the future to better support the vision and purpose of the app. I’d encourage anyone with ideas to share them so we can create the best experience possible, together.
